Southwest Recovery Services Introduces
Good news! We are transitioning to a powerful, feature-rich cloud-based Debt Collection Software which will give us greater control and functionality than ever before. This new software allows us to search for debtors from anywhere in the system and provides a configurable client portal where we can control what the client sees on their end. We will also gain the ability to do more robust queries, updates, and reporting.
Deploying any new software can be a challenge, but we are doing our best to make that change as painless as possible. Here are some things you should know about the incoming web-based system. Further information and details are forthcoming.
Debt Collection System
Lariat’s web-based debt collection software and debt collection account manager gives us more tools, better communication, and greater reporting capabilities. Improved search functionality and real-time notifications and messaging will help us stay connected and informed. Some features include:
- Event notification system for reminders and next contact dates
- Real-time messaging system
- Manage multiple debts owned by multiple clients for a single debtor
- Admins can set global configuration parameters for themes, security, letters, reports, and more
- Custom letter creation tailored for your business needs
- Search for a debtor from anywhere in the system
- Process payments through the software
- Create payment plans for clients
- Predictive dialer functionality
- Mass updates of selected fields with Query and Update
- 60+ canned reports can be exported to Excel for customization
The client portal creates a professional-looking interactive interface for clients while allowing us to set client access levels to control how much they can see or do. Clients will be able to:
- Monitor their debtors’ collection activities
- Enter new accounts
- Run reports
- View and add notes
- Send immediate one-way communications to agency for rapid service

Monitor or Work With Your Accounts
Through the Lariat online portal, you can quickly and easily monitor your placements in real time. The portal allows you to see an overview of progress, pull reports, check notes, and much more. We’ll walk you through the basics of using the new client portal.
See an overview with the portal dashboard
The dashboard is the first thing you will see when you log in. It provides you with an overview of your placements in a variety of ways, to keep an eye on what matters most. Some important aspects of your dashboard display:
- Debt Placement by Status Code
- Remaining Balance by Status Code
- Placement Statistics
- Product Statistics
- Client Recovery Statistics
- Credit Balance
How to Use Lariat
Lariat not only allows clients to easily view and run reports, but also customize by adding notes. Additionally, clients have access to instant one-way communications from the client to the agency allow for better response times to the client.
Clients can expect to easily access:
- Paying Summary
- Inventory Report
- Comment Summary
- Monthly Statement
Please make sure that you scan all of your files for each individual account you are sending over to us in one file. So, for example if you have a copy of a contract in one file and a copy of that person’s driver’s license in another file: Make sure you scan them into one file before sending it to us.
In file description please put the company’s name that owes the money. In the uploaded file we need all the documents supporting the balance owed, and why it is owed, along with any and all information on the company that owes the money.
Property Management Companies
In the file description, please put the property address. In the uploaded file we need the lease agreement, application, and statement ledger of what is owed.
In the filed description please put the account number for patient in your office. In the uploaded file, we need a break down of the charges and the patients face sheet.
Viewing activity on accounts
To view account activity, go to View Report and push data both back and forward 30 days. To view specific accounts, go to account View Activity; it is the same as view report, but at the bottom you can type in the debtor that you want the report to focus on.
To check any payment on your placed account, go to View Status; this will show you any payments that have been made on your accounts.
